On Saturday, February 7, eight volunteers traveled to the Shelter of Flint to clean and paint a one-bedroom apartment as well as to clean toys and the playroom for the children. Our tour demonstrated how well they assist their guests. The Shelter of Flint is a multi-faceted organization that provides much-needed emergency and transitional housing for the homeless as well as numerous programs designed to help the homeless find their way to a better life. Below is a picture of one of the volunteers cleaning the playroom as well as a picture of the outside of the apartment we painted.
