Our Story
Rooted in History. Growing in Faith.
For generations, First Presbyterian Church of Fenton has been a place where people gather to worship God, grow in faith, and serve our community. While our church has a rich history, our focus has always been on helping people know Jesus Christ and live out His love today. We are grateful for our heritage and excited about what God continues to do through our congregation as we faithfully serve Fenton and the surrounding communities.
What We Believe
Our faith is rooted in the historic Christian teachings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and centered on the good news of Jesus Christ. While Presbyterians have a rich theological heritage, our beliefs can be summarized in a few simple truths.
📖 Rooted in God's Word
We believe God reveals Himself through the Bible and most fully through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Scripture guides our worship, shapes our faith, and helps us discover God's purpose for our lives today.
✝️ Saved by Grace
We believe that salvation is God's gift of grace, freely offered through Jesus Christ. We cannot earn God's love—it is received through faith. Because we have experienced God's grace, we seek to extend that same grace, compassion, and forgiveness to others.
❤️ Called to Serve
Every follower of Christ is called to serve. At First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, ministry isn't just for pastors—it's for all of us. Together we worship, learn, care for one another, and share God's love with our neighbors both locally and around the world
A Presbyterian Church
As part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we value thoughtful faith, shared leadership between clergy and laity, and the freedom to ask questions as we grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe faith is a lifelong journey, and there is always room to learn, grow, and serve together.
There's a Place for You Here
At Fenton First Presbyterian Church, we are a community of imperfect people seeking to know, love, and follow Jesus more deeply. We believe God meets each of us with grace, and we strive to share that same grace with everyone who walks through our doors.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, returning to church after many years, or searching for a church home, you'll be welcomed with kindness, valued for who you are, and invited to grow alongside us.
We know visiting a church can feel intimidating, but you don't have to have everything figured out to belong here. Wherever you are on your journey, we'd be honored to walk with you as we discover the hope, love, and transforming grace of Jesus Christ together.
There is a place for you here.
