We had a great time interacting with the Expo visitors on March 4-5! Everyone enjoyed spinning the candy wheel and having pictures taken with animal or emoji face masks. Information about the church was available on the table. Here are some pictures of church member staffing our table.
Volunteers from our church brought smiles, laughter, and lots of candy to community children when we took part in the Fenton Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Halloween event. Games to play, a Wheel of Fortune to spin, apple cider to drink, and the appearance of First Presbyterian’s own Mayor of Halloweenville all added to the fun!
Fun and fellowship, delicious food, and presentations from Session and Deacons all made the 2016 New Member Dinner a big success! All our new members from last April to this April were feted and celebrated and appreciated! The involvement of our new members in the life of our church is exciting to see! Here’s to many happy, productive, fun times ahead!
What a delightful time being part of the Fenton Chamber of Commerce’s “An Event So Good… It’s Scary!” We even had our church’s own Mayor of Halloweenville join others from the congregation as we gave away nearly 800 pieces of Halloween candy to children in the community on October 30th. Being a downtown church gives us the opportunity to join in many of the local activities.
The New Member Dinner is a yearly event celebrating those who have joined our church in the past year. On April 21 our new members enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by chefs Larry and Janet. The evening included a presentation by the Session committee chairpersons and the Deacon moderator explaining their roles in the life of our church. It’s so nice to see our church family grow with the addition of such delightful new members!
