Women’s Retreat

The Seventh Annual Fenton First Presbyterian Women’s Retreat is Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23 in Knoll Lodge at the Howell Conference and Nature Center.  The lodge will be open at 6 PM Friday evening for arrival and Sunday departure is noon.   Any questions, call Julie Grams or Connie Morrison.

Everything in the schedule is optional. You are not required to participate in anything.  This weekend is for you to get away and relax.

 

Friday Evening:
6:30 PM: Dinner – Pizza provided for those who want it.
8:00 PM: Conversation starters including nametags and “get to know you” games.
9:00 PM: Free time – We usually play games, and some read or knit or work on other projects.

Saturday:
Fresh fruit, Sweet rolls and drinks available for early risers.
9:00  AM: Breakfast -We will prepare ourselves – oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, fresh fruit, Mimosa
10:30AM: Guided Study Part 1
11:30AM: Stretching and Sculpting with Certified Jazzercise Instructor Donna Anderson
1:00  PM: Catered Lunch – Chef’s salad, homemade soup, fresh fruit bowl, rolls
2:00  PM: Free Time – Crafts provided by Jan Jacobs, sledding, games, reading, you choose!
6:00  PM: Catered Dinner – Herb roasted chicken, garlic redskin potatoes, vegetable, garden salad, rolls
7:00  PM: Guided Study Part 2 8:00  PM: Free Time – Games, crafts, relaxation

Sunday:
AGAPE Meal Service – A traditional love feast
9:30 AM: This breakfast/service is usually around
9:30 or 10 AM. For this service, we would like everyone to bring a small (or half loaf) of ‘special’ bread (any kind: regular, sweet, rolls, muffins, etc.) to share. We always have tons left over. Also bring a favorite/special reading, meditation, verse, saying, quote, or poem to share with the group.  Please keep your readings short enough to allow everyone to read without others getting restless. In addition to sharing our bread, we will have butter, honey and jam to top it and fruit to accompany it.
