The “Beatitudes” rotation runs through May 22. Early in in his ministry, Jesus took his disciples up on the mountain to teach them what God wants of them. The Beatitudes give us guidance for living as Christians. Jesus lived the Beatitudes by showing us how to relate to other people.
The children will study the Beatitudes to understand what they really mean. The Beatitudes turn worldly values upside down – Jesus promises good things to people who are having a tough time. The children will compare what Jesus wants us to be with what the world expects, then apply these values to their own lives.
The memory verse: Matthew 9:9 Happy are people who make peace, because they will be called God’s children.
Don’t forget to ask your children what they are learning in Carpenter’s Corner. It’s a great way to talk together about our faith!
