A member of our Women’s Covenant Group asked us to support her niece Hannah’s social justice project leading up to her bat mitzvah. The project is called “Days for Girls Stay in School Kits” to provide basic sanitary needs for girls entering puberty in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These kits enable young girls to stay in school without embarrassment and with confidence! Our two women’s groups donated 48 new and gently used bras for these girls – now affectionately called the “Bra-Mitzvah” 🙂 Below is a picture with just a few of the women from Monday night’s group!
