The Chili Cook-Off will be held Sunday, April 7th, following the 11:00 service. Chili chefs wanting to compete should sign up in Fellowship Hall, near the bulletin board.
The congregation is invited to sample all the chilis, along with toppings, cornbread, beverages, and a dessert, and vote for their favorites by making a small contribution. Come and support your favorite chili cook.
The annual Potato Bake was served during the fellowship hour following services on Sunday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day! How appropriate! Approximately 80 baked potatoes were served with the full range of toppings, and other refreshments including green lemonade. The response was very enthusiastic!
The annual Seder Meal was held Tuesday, March 26. The Seder is the traditional Jewish celebration of the Passover, and we recognize the roots of our faith in the Jewish tradition. A kosher-style meal is served, including the traditional lamb, a number of elements that represent the Passover story, and four glasses of wine or juice.
About 65 members and guests attended to share the meal, hear the story of the Passover, and participate in group singing. It was a wonderful evening!
