Read and Feed Summer Reading Program
July 30—August 2, 2018
Read and Feed is a no cost activity-based program to encourage children to have a love of reading. It is not academic and there is no homework. The program, although held in the church building, is not religious in nature. Program activities center on reading skills and student skills needed to start the school year. A variety of reading skills are incorporated in hands-on projects, games, reading, science, music, and art projects.
A breakfast snack and lunch will be provided at no cost daily. On Thursday qualified children will take home free groceries to their households if parents/guardians choose that option.
Our goal is to provide summer reading experiences and food opportunities to help give your child a jumpstart into the new school year.
We are inviting Fenton Area Schools, Lake Fenton Schools, and St. John the Evangelist School’s first and second grade students identified as having reading difficulties to participate in the program.
The Read and Feed Summer Program will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton 503 S. Leroy Street, Fenton, MI
