Port Austin Kayak Trip

College students were invited to take part in this first young adult gathering. Three of us were available to camp at Port Crescent State Park and kayak from Port Austin to Turnip Rock.  The wind was a bit challenging and the weather slightly cold and damp, but we made the 7 mile round trip journey to see one of nature’s beautiful and little known creations.  Experiencing waves on Lake Huron, hearing and seeing God’s majesty, and eating lunch on a beach, we were the first ones out that day and were uninterrupted by other travelers. We also enjoyed our fellowship, hobo dinners and a few competitive card games.
